Ambra Le Roy Cazador Mexican gauze is 100% ring-spun cotton with a slight give in the weave, which is the point of a Mexican-style wrap. It moulds around the knuckles and follows the contours of the hand as the cornerman pulls it, then holds that shape once he ties it off, where a rigid cotton wrap loosens across the round. Each roll runs 2 inches by 15 yards, or 5.08cm by 13.716m, giving you the length for a full professional wrap with tape.

• Machine wash cold in a mesh laundry bag with the hook-and-loop fastened down, or the closure catches on everything in the drum

• Replace wraps once the elastic stops recovering, which is usually six to twelve months at three sessions a week
