A single ceiling hook concentrates a whole bag's force into one small patch of concrete. This 200mm x 200mm steel base plate spreads that load across a wider bolt pattern instead, which is why it is the right way to hang a bag from a slab.

Specifications

• 200mm x 200mm steel plate: Heavy-duty flat plate for mounting straight to a concrete ceiling.
• Welded stud with carabiner hook: Ready to take a hanging chain or a bag's D-ring connection.
• Spreads load across a wide bolt pattern: Reduces stress on the concrete compared with a single hook and rawlbolt.
• Suits slab ceilings: Built for garages, warehouse conversions and any exposed concrete overhead.

Who it's for

Anyone mounting a bag from above rather than out from a wall: garages, warehouse conversions, and commercial gym ceilings running multiple hanging points. Also the right fixing for a double end bag's ceiling end.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hang a punching bag from a concrete ceiling?

Yes, and a base plate is the correct way to do it. Bolting a 200mm x 200mm plate to the slab spreads the load across four fixings instead of concentrating it into one hook, which is what protects the concrete at the mounting point.

Should I use a base plate or a wall bracket?

Use a wall bracket where you have a solid wall and want the bag to hang clear of it. Use a base plate where the wall is unsuitable or unavailable and you have an exposed concrete slab overhead.

What else do I need?

A hanging chain and a swivel to complete the station, plus appropriate concrete anchors for your slab. The carabiner hook is already fitted to the plate.

Mount your bag from the slab properly. The base plate is in stock now.
