Boxing tradition sends the challenger out of the blue corner. The TITLE Contender is built for the fighter chasing the belt, who wants a guard that lasts the whole campaign.

A smooth genuine leather shell covers the full shin. Leather breaks in to the shape of your leg over the first few weeks and outlasts a PU shell. The padded instep joins it at the ankle through an elasticated seam, so your foot can flex as you turn a kick over. Two blue leather straps close at the calf, and the lower one feeds through a loop so you can pull it tight before the hook-and-loop locks it. A wide elastic band holds the foot section under your sole, so the guard slides on and stays put.

Do I need shin guards for kickboxing?

For solo bag work, they're optional. For partner drills and sparring, yes: they protect you and your partner when shins meet, and your coach will likely ask for them.
