TITLE MMA Kick Shield: Straight
Square, direct, and 9kg of it. A flat rectangular shield built for strikes thrown dead-on rather than at an angle. Front kicks, knees and punches give the holder a predictable target and the fighter a clear surface to drive straight through.
Specifications
- Flat rectangular profile: Built for square, direct-impact strikes rather than angled kicks.
- 9kg: Enough mass to absorb real striking power without moving excessively on impact.
- Made in South Africa: Heavy-duty vinyl over a dense foam core.
- Holds its shape: Resists collapsing or going soft at the centre under repeated direct impact.
- Side carry handle: Easy to move between stations or store flat against a wall.
Who it's for
Coaches holding pads through boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai sessions where a direct, square target matters more than an angled one. Rounds on it build striking power, accuracy and the conditioning that only comes from throwing into real resistance.
Frequently asked questions
Should I get the straight or the curved kick shield?
Choose the straight shield for front kicks, knees and punches thrown square. It gives a flat, predictable target. Choose the curved shield for round kicks and body kicks that land at an angle, where the contoured face spreads the impact better.
Is 9kg heavy for a kick shield?
It is deliberate. That mass is what lets the shield absorb genuine striking power without being driven backwards, which means the fighter can commit fully to each strike.
Can one person hold it for a full round?
Yes. The dense foam core takes the impact rather than passing it through, and the side carry handle helps with positioning between combinations.
Add the straight kick shield to your order. Usually ships within a week.
Care Instructions
All Heavy Bags & Speciality Bags
- Wipe the shell down with a damp cloth and mild soap after heavy sessions, then let it air dry. Sweat sits on PVC without soaking in, so a wipe does the whole job
- No solvents, no bleach, no alcohol-based cleaners. They strip the finish off a PVC shell and take the printed logo with it
- Keep the bag out of direct sun. UV hardens a PVC shell and splits the seams, and a bag hung outside or in front of a window ages years faster than one indoors
- Check the webbing straps, box stitching and D-rings every few months, and again after anyone heavy has been working the bag. Straps fail before anything else on a hung bag, and they give you warning first
- Do not open or repack the bag. TITLE bags ship filled with textile shred, packed to the stated weight. Textile holds its shape under repeated impact, and nothing inside needs your attention
- Do not leave a bag lying on a concrete floor for months. The filling settles into the shape you leave it in
- Wear wraps and gloves. A bare-knuckle habit marks the shell and shortens its life as much as it shortens yours
Double-End Bags & Speed Bags
- Wipe the shell with a damp cloth after each session
- Air dry away from heat and direct sun
- Leather only: condition every few months so it does not dry out and crack
- Powerhide and synthetic: clean with mild soap and dry in shade. Direct sunlight degrades synthetic material
- Never submerge and never machine wash
- Deflate the bag or drop it to low pressure if it is going away for a season, so the seams are not held under load for months
