Choosing between satin, air mesh and reversible?

Satin trunks carry the traditional drape and the weight that sits right on a ring walk. They remain the standard choice for competition and for photographs.

Air mesh moves air through the panel, which counts through a hard camp in a Durban or Johannesburg summer. Boxers training six days a week buy these.

Reversible trunks give you a red side and a blue side in one garment. Amateur draws land late, so a boxer on club cards saves buying two pairs.

Fit and competition rules?

Amateur boxing sets the waistband between the navel and the hip, and the leg above the knee. TITLE cuts to that specification with an elasticated waist, so the trunks sit where the referee expects them. Cotton training trunks follow the same pattern for gym work. Pair a set with a competition vest and a groin protector for a complete amateur kit.
