PAIA (PROMOTION OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION ACT)

The Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) requires most South African companies to prepare and make available a PAIA manual, which explains what records the company holds and how a person can request access to them. The former automatic exemption for small businesses has lapsed, so this now applies to In Front Sports (Pty) Ltd.

This is a short, standard document. You can prepare it from the Information Regulator’s template and publish it alongside these policies, or keep it on file for inspection. We recommend adopting a PAIA manual and adding a link to it in your website footer. It is not reproduced in full here because it sits slightly outside the customer-facing policies, but it is quick to complete and worth doing.
