A signed glove on a shelf outlasts the photograph taken next to the same fighter.
Gold, and reflective on purpose, because a glove made for display has a different job to one made for sparring. The finish takes a marker and holds it, and the surface catches enough light to read a signature from across a room. Matt black leather swallows one. Clubs get them signed by visiting professionals and mount them behind the desk. Promoters use them as presentation pieces at cards. Parents get one signed at the end of a junior season and it sits in a bedroom for twenty years.

Who buys these
Clubs building a wall, promoters presenting at cards, and families marking a season. Get them signed with a paint marker, keep a ballpoint away from them, and keep them out of direct sun so the finish holds.
Get them signed while the fighter is still in the building.
