Is a carabiner better than an S-hook for hanging a punching bag?
For a permanent installation, yes. The locking gate cannot work its way off the D-ring under repeated impact, which an open S-hook occasionally can. For a bag you take down after every session, an S-hook is quicker.
Will it fit a punching bag's D-rings?
Yes. At 8mm it is sized to connect a bag's D-rings to a chain, a rope, or the carabiner point on TITLE's ceiling base plate.
Do I still need a swivel?
Yes, if you want the bag to rotate on impact. The carabiner is the connection; the swivel is what removes torque from the chain and the bag's hanging loop.
